August 23, 2025Was here in a Maule middle of August. Fine airport. Several tie downs northeast of the runway on both ends. Deer all over the area. The marine layer can appear very quick.

August 5, 2025Beautiful airport and surroundings. Be alert to people and deer on the runway. The webcam on the Inn of the Lost Coast website was very helpful for our planning. We stayed at the Inn of the Lost Coast and it was amazing. As others have mentioned, be careful with the slope in the north tie down area.

February 27, 2025Really neat airport in a gorgeous location. If taxiing over a rutted surface troubles you, you'll want to restrict yourself to the newer tie down area close to the departure end of runway 30. If you're planning on using the north tie downs, you can shut down on good pavement and push back; have a helper handy for the incline(s) if this is your plan. We ate at the Black Sands Bistro located in the Inn of the Lost Coast and it was delicious.
