Hello, I landed there this week to check it out.Gorgeous runway next to the rim of the Grand Canyon. Nevertheless, no FBO or even terminal facilities. There is a restaurant and gift shops. Plenty of heli traffic. I walked to the edge of the airport security fence. As I walked back to the airport I was stopped by a security guard who told me I was on private property. It is true. It is the sovereign nation of the Hualapai. You must join an official tour to legally leave the airport. No self-guided hiking.

Hot dogs, drinks and snacks are available inside the terminal. They mostly cater to tour buses and private cars. Most personnel don’t know what to do with private pilots who fly in.

True, no landing fee and you get what you pay for. Tie downs are a half mile from the terminal and no assistance back and forth. It’s $50pp general admission to go away from the facility area then add $20pp for the Skywalk. Very hard to get around without a car. Cabins at GCW are miles from the facility, not adjacent as shown on Google Maps.
