Good location limited services but no excessive charges

Im currently renting out of here. Call Bill from G4K aviation for good rental prices on a C150. Quiet little strip with simple entry and departure. You are limited to day light take offs and landing due to no runway lights or beacon and also no fuel, but I like it none the less.

Called ahead and learned transients can park on the north side of the EAA club house opposite “the numbers” on the north end. They gave me the gate code for my ride to pick me up. No services, but no parking fee either. Simple IFR departure, but check out the charts for the taller obstructions to the north and northwest. Clearance delivery by phone. Bring your own tiedown stakes and ropes. Will stop in again when visiting friends in Helotes. Castroville has cheap fuel and Boerne 5C1 has fuel and maintenance services. Both within 15 miles. Bison Aiviation at 5C1 gave me priority service with a maintenance issue far from home.
