I flew in on frosty morning, generally following Highway 3 northwest. Scenery is good, terrain is rugged. Airport was eerily lonesome and seemed abandoned but the pavement is fine. There is an intrusive juniper tree at the end of 25. Beware of flocks of geese in the valley. It's an easy walk into town across an ancient suspension bridge. I had a good cup of coffee & breakfast sandwich at the Northern Delights, & friendly conversation. Consider carefully departure in summer time heat.
