Good spot to arrive for a sunset evening flight! They feature a classic bowling alley and an Icecream shack. The icecream shack does close down for the season after Labour Day. Highly suggest!!

Took my 9yo daughter here on her first flight. Runway is in superb shape. We arrived at 8pm so FBO was closed but restrooms were accessible at the nearby city park. We had ice cream at the Sweet Shoppe across the parking lot and enjoyed mini golf. There is also a bowling alley/arcade, tennis court, walking trail, picnic shelter house, and pool all within a short walk of the ramp. Makes a wonderful leg stretch stop or destination. Also a short drive to Storie's for lunch or dinner, have some pie!

A new runway has replaced the former one; check NOTAMS as even the AF/D is not yet updated as of this writing! The ice cream stand and putt-putting golf are still next door, and the ice cream is highly suggested.
