Had to phone city hall to reach the airport manager and when we eventually spoke to him he was unaware of the last occasion the fuel tank was topped off and when we inquired about water in the tank he responded "well there is always going to be water in the tank if there is none they are deceiving you".

Lots of big birds sunning themselves on the runway in the morning at the approach end of runway 34. Keep an eye out on landing & takeoff.

Used this airport as a fuel stop two weeks ago when my wife and I flew our Comanche from the Big Bend area back to Atlanta. Self service was simple to use and the fuel cost was the finest nearby. The FBO was tidy and pleasant and the AC was on. Nobody home that day but it did look like there was a crew car that might be accessible. Had our lunch inside in their conference room. Good airport to utilize as a stop.
