No issue with self-serve fuel. Fine airport, nobody present on a December midweek early evening. $5 parking charge, tidy restroom. No Uber service into town so we walked 30 minutes to the Best Western. Good dinner nearby at Bing's Lake Almanor Bistro (large servings).

Fuel works fine. Standard pump setup. Hose reel is very hard to pull out and quite short.

CAUTION -- Do not anticipate getting 100LL. Stopped for fuel last summer but could not get self-service pump to operate. Luckily I had sufficient fuel to return over to valley. Expecting a comparable requirement for fuel on a tech stop this week, I phoned ahead and was guaranteed that the pump was operational and that they had 2-3000 gallons ready. Arrived the next day and once more could not get pump to function. Airport attendant was unable to get it work either. Inept administration of fuel services provider!
