January 7, 2026Landed at Weed due to weather conditions south of Mt Shasta. Although airfield is unattended during winter months, manager Chad McCall offered a ride into Mt Shasta and hangar space for my C-140A. After weather delay of five days I called Chad who graciously provided a ride back from hotel to the airfield. I really appreciated his assistance in very trying times. Thanks Chad!

June 21, 2025THE AI GENERATED COMMENT IS NONSENSE. Fuel (100 LL) is quite reasonably priced for being in the middle of nowhere ~ just a dollar more than my Home field. The apron and taxiways are newly paved and striped. FBO is very fine. Views of Mt Shasta are spectacular. I was there on a calm day so I cannot speak to the winds, but I'd imagine they can get squirrley.

June 17, 2025Was planning on getting gas in Redding, but the visibility went from 6 miles when I departed, to 1/2 mile as I approached due to fires. I needed fuel so I went to Weed not really knowing what to anticipate. I was pleasantly surprised. A very well kept airport and simple fuel stop
