September 14, 2025Tried landing today. Way light hit ground fog reduced forward viz to about 1/3 mile. Anything above 50agl was clear. Didn't land due to several exposed rooks south of Copalis rock in area of "runway". Also several small logs, people walking and a "shelf" of sand holding standing water in dark sand. I'm not good enough to pick my exact spot of just 500 feet of clear, dark sand with no standing water or debris. Maybe next time. Better landing spots farther south....but illegal.

February 23, 2025Visited 01/26/25- other remarks here about where to park are serious- definitely do not be tempted to park anywhere near the water side of the packed sand of the "runway"- as yes, you will get stuck. We were over 100 yards from water- but the beach is very flat anyway and if you see any of those little rivulets or little wet spots anywhere around, avoid that and seek drier ground to leave the plane. Fortunate it was clam season and we found more people to help us push it to a firmer spot.

August 22, 2024Fun place. Mist can be an issue in the summer even if HQM is reporting clear. Land on the dark damp sand, avoid taxiing too far into the dry material or you will sink. There was a lot of small logs and other beach debris on the "center" line, nearer to the water was totally clear. Ensure to do a couple passes to get the people to move and confirm you have seen what the beach truly looks like.
