Road-tripped instead of flying (bad magneto) to Glenn's Ferry on Friday for dinner at the Y-Knot. We stopped by the facility to verify runway condition & courtesy car. The battery was stoned-cold dead and would not even turn over despite a small trickle charger that was plugged into the battery. I called the issue in to City, but offices were already closed for the wknd, so left a voicemail. Beware. But Uber is available locally and Y-Knot is only a .9 mile walk.

The runway is in fine shape. There is also a fresh wind sock. The taxiways are gravel and in fine condition. The city and Idaho aviation association furnishes a courtesy car, parked at the east side of the airport. The keys and contract are in a lockbox, code is guard freq. We were unable to locate tie downs but brought our own chocks. The airport is right next to three island state park, and less than a half mile from the Y Knot winery, which makes a good lunch and dinner.

Wind socks are worn out. The tetrahedron seems working and at least it gives wind direction. After landing I suggest clearing the runway using one of the two midfield taxiways. The asphalt on the taxiway at the east end is affected by raveling.
