Our main airport upgrade is finished. As stated before, the asphalt section of the runway has been lengthened. The ramp space is now paved too. The initial runway stays 4300x150 feet of dirt and grass. The middle paved strip is now 2800x30 feet. Earth moving occurred to smooth out more parking zones. Grass planting is happening, so kindly try to avoid damage on the freshly seeded parts, so we have opportunity for it to grow. Appreciate your tolerance. - Parry, 6.

Welcome to Stanley! Major construction is scheduled for later this season. Midfield (overflow) tiedowns are shut and gravel piles there will be utilized for runway work in August. Beginning August 18th the primary tiedowns and 500 ft of the runway will be unavailable. 3800 ft of runway stay including 1100 ft of asphalt. August 25th through approximately mid September the runway will be shut for paving. The new surface will be 4300 ft long still, but 2860 ft paved and 1440 ft dirt.
