Good small airport! The current airport manager has done much to improve the public areas and make it a pleasant stop. The new pilots lounge has snacks, drinks and even food and treats for your dog copilot! The picnic table and fire pit outside is a fine addition also. Even grab your clubs and play the 9 hole course off the end of 33! If you need a new airport to visit, Choteau is a perfect stop.

Stopped here 2 years ago on my way to Canada. Harold who ran the aircraft maintenance shop let me stay in the old FBO adjacent.He gave me the keys to a very old courtesy car. The next morning we had a long discussion about the airport history &also his stories of his growing up in the Choteau area. He had pictures to show me of his boyhood. He told he was leaving the airport because the town of Choteau said he could no longer be there. I have been flying now for 24yrs since my retirement in the late ‘90’s. Enjoy Xcoutry flying and staying at airports for the nite. It is a privilege to me people like Harold. It seems like his type of people in aviation is now a thing of the past .
