Strip is mowed, a little uneven, but fine for anybody familiar with off pavement landings. Observe for those runway lights, even with short (yellow) grass it's difficult to spot the yellow light posts.

Fine strip. Totally camouflaged runway lights in the dry yellow grass. That’ll get somebody someday. Would be good to have an electrical outlet to charge our lake transportation since there is a high voltage building for the lights.

Smooth runway. Good campsites. The airport Manager mentioned the grass had been cut roughly a week and a half or two weeks prior to my arrival. Lights just poking up above it - grass was about a foot tall. 285hp bonanza loaded lightly on a standard day with a 7kt headwind was quite tight for this relatively green mountain pilot. Certainly check density altitude and maintain a good margin on your calcs.
