If you decide to visit Suffolk, and it's a Friday, phone ahead because they might leave early before the posted times and you will be stuck trying to figure out how to obtain fuel. I had been flying all day and just needed adequate fuel to make it back to KPGV. I arrived at 4:30 pm on a Friday and the young man that was supposed to be there working departed early. Very discouraging.

I found myself at Suffolk because a nearby airport could only produce two dead JetA trucks. Oscar gave us good service including working around an issue with our fleet gas card. The restaurant threw together a quick meal for my camera operator (that tends to get hangry). We will certainly be back.

Due to severe weather I found myself having to divert to SFQ for the evening unexpectedly. I arrived just after closing time, Oscar & Bob arranged a plan to have my plane put in a hangar. Bob met me upon arrival and quickly directed me to the hangar and assisted me push it in. Now the plane was sheltered from the storms that arrived as we closed the doors. Then the power went out as a result of the severity of the line of weather. The generator now doing its job I was attempting to get an Uber or local taxi. Bob suggested a local Hilton Garden on the river downtown 4 miles away and provided me with a phone number. I was in luck and had a safe spot to weather the storm out for the evening. No Uber available and taxi cabs backed up for over an hour Bob saw to it and made arrangements for my transport personally and suggested a few dining places nearby. The next morning same transport situation. Bob coordinated with Oscar and Oscar saw to it that I had a ride from the hotel to the airport
