January 3, 2026A taxiway is connected all the way from B taxiway through G taxiway. The Airport drawing does not reflect the actual status.

November 30, 2025When operating at KYIP be mindful that current airport diagrams does does not show a link between taxiway G and A. In fact, the junction is present and might cause confusion when following taxi directions. Crews are advised to check taxi paths closely, stay alert as the arrangement does not match what was observed on the field.

February 25, 2025My son's flight was cancelled at KDTW so he took an Uber to KYIP. I flew in IFR to collect him and take him home to Columbus. Hard IMC and the tower turned up the lights for me. Taxied to AVFlight and they were wonderful. Topped me off in 20 degree temperatures with blowing snow. Fine FBO. Hot coffee. Everyone was very cordial. Even some good jokes about OSU and Michigan. Made the evening a lot simpler. - mpehlers4

Closed to skedd acr operations gtr than 9 psgr seats. 72 hours ppr for unsked acr operations with more than 30 psgr seats call airport operations mgr 734-485-6670.
Conds not mnt outside m-f, 0800-1600,dtw airfield operations (734-942-3685) provides dly inspections and is on call for weather or incidents off hours.

Designated Customs Landing: Us customs user fee airport.
For customs clnc 1 hr min advance notification reqd. pilots must contact u. S. customs on 313-226-3140; rq for customs svc by faa flight plan is not accepted.
Helicopter tkofs & ldgs on the south ramp prohibited, taxi only.
Landing Fee: Landing fee is based on aircraft gwt.
