Good Airfield! It is like a welcoming, small rural airfield surrounded by a large city. TPA Class B can become quite busy on a nice VFR day. The runway does have some uneven spots, but nothing too bad. Decent fuel cost at self-serve pump, kind staff, and Keith can handle your maintenance requirements. Do not skip the fine food and service at the Happy Hangar Cafe right on the apron. Travel suggestion: If you file, obtain your IFR clearance from TPA approach by calling (813-878-2538 as of December 2022) to bypass the congested frequency Class B traffic after departure. -- Bruce M.
