July 15, 2025Modern Aviation just bought out Wilson air center. Same good staff, still a marvelous FBO. There are a few issues to watch out for. Bring your own water bottles, they do not take American Express yet, and they will not let you back onto the ramp to get to your plane without visually seeing your pilots license. I am sure these are just growing pains for a new corporate entity. You can only imagine how awkward it will be when you are learning these things in front of your passengers.

May 5, 2025Surprisingly simple and inexpensive to fly in/out of in a SEP. I appreciate that this airport is so GA friendly even though it is a huge hub

May 5, 2025Wilson Air staff and FBO are superb. They treated us and our piston single like VIPs. Super friendly, super easy in and out, and overall prices are competitive. I spend a few weekends a year in Charlotte visiting family and definitely plan to visit Wilson Air again.

Aircraft with wingspan gtr than 118 ft use judgmental oversteer instead of cockpit over centerlines steering entering and exiting runway 18l/36r.
Airplane design group-v and above aircraft are prohibited from dep runway 18l.
All aircraft are prohibited from exiting runway 36r sebd at taxiway right.
Attendance Schedule: J8 fuel also available.
Be alert for flocks of migratory birds on & in vicinity of airport.
Bulk Oxygen Availability: Liquid oxygen also available.
Clt ramp, non-movmt area, is ctld ramp; contact ramp ctl prior to entering.
Dual taxi between dep call spots 11/12 and 13n/13s rstrd to one aircraft less than 214 ft and one aircraft less than 118 ft or two aircraft less than 171 ft.
Dual taxi between dep call spots 22/23 and 24n/24s rstrd to aircraft with wingspans less than 118 ft.
